I had the scanner plugged into a 6 plug. And it knock the volume down to where u barely hear it. Now I have taken it out into the living room and plugged it into the wall. And it works like it's brand new. Has anybody had this problem? Or is it just me. Or is it something uniden built in to the scanner.

lets trouble shoot a little. Unplug the six plug and plug in the scanner direct. If that works then throw the six plug away and get another one. If not replace the 2 plug and try again. I have seen just one of the six plugs go bad so you can try the other five. You should be able to find the trouble ok. Hope that helps. GOD Bless

i will try that next time i take it back into the office. Right now Im going to leave it on in the living room for the time being. Im going to program it now and see how it does.
