ALL Frequencies in scanner will be lost !


If you hold 2 9 and scan key while turning on scanner it will load test data.

Five systems are loaded as well as other frequencies.

system 1 says scan test
system 2 says pll lockup test
system 3 says ctcss/dcs test
system 4 says att test
system 5 says disc out adjust also says
adjust voltage enter password.

I did not go beyond this step.

in order to get scanner back to normal had to

press the 2 9 and hold keys to clear all frequencies.

then had to reprogram all frequencies back into scanner.

Thanks for the heads up! I thought there was a way to clear all channels and stuff. I sure hope I don't have to do that! what is pll lockup test? If I do all that will it screw up the radio?

There is no reason why you would need to do it. These key strokes were not put in the radio for our use.

Well, if Uniden intended for the public to use these test features, why wouldn't they mention them in the owner's manual?
