Uniden BCD325P2 reception problems

Hello,

I recently brought the BCD325P2 and used freescan to program it. Everything seemed to work just fine. While in scan mode the scanner seems to pick up a transmission. but I cannot hear anything. even while in hold mode on a channel I can not hear anything. am I doing something wrong?

i would ask about the volume setting, but lets start with the squelch, is it set to 2.
next is what system you are trying to listen to as there might be a problem you can't fix.
like all encryption.
