My Remote Head is FINALLY on the way back - it was sent in around Aug 15.

But here is what is silly...
They use DHL to ship back, but it is a newer DHL plan - DHL/USPS
So, they ship out via DHL, which goes ground to my local DHL hub (at JFK airport).
Then the next day, DHL delivers the package to the local Post Office.
Then, a day or two later the Post Office delivers to me!
And of course, the tracking number stops tracking after they drop the package at the Post Office, so now it is in limbo.
So here is the thing...
They could either just mail the thing back to me, and I would have it two days, not seven or eight...
OR
DHL, after putting the package on a truck could just drive another mile or two and deliver it to me, but NO
They won't even allow you to pick it up at the terminal, you have to wait another couple of days until they drop it at the Post Office and the Postal Service then delivers it to me.
What total silliness!!!

I went through a similar situation back in July while getting a 396 repaired. Naturally, my post office went nuts when I kept telling them that it was coming back via USPS since that's what Uniden's site said, but couldn't give a ***valid*** tracking number. Finally, I reached someone who had a clue about what was going on. They told me that residential shipments to them (USPS) from DHL was not uncommon. That person told me that I could track the shipment via USPS by preceding the DHL tracking number with the letter "Z".
