Is there any stores that carry Uniden Scanners? I see online that radioshack has started selling Unidens online. Is there any radioshack stores that sale Uniden Scanners in the store?

RS's site says the 396 is available in most stores, although I have never personally seen one at an RS store. Click where it says "find it near you" and enter your zip code. Shipping is free if you buy online and pick it up at your local RS store. Also, most ham radio shops sell Uniiden scanners.

Don't buy a Uniden from Radio Shack - that's their competition. There are several vendors that advertise here that give fair prices and good service for Uniden sales.

They also mark up their prices extremely high. Just compare their prices to other sites and you will see what I am talking about. You should pay around $480.00 for a 396 or 996.

Stay away from Radio Shack when it comes to buying a Uniden.You are better off buying from a Uniden Dealer like Communications Electronics or Hobby Radio Store or any of the Ham Radio Stores like HRO, R&L, etc.I would never buy a Uniden product from a Radio Shack store...
