I don't want a new scanner.
I already added DMR, and NXDN to my 325p2.

I want to strengthen the reception, beyond the telescopic antenna.what more do you want it to?
That is the easy answer. I am looking at signal amplifiers, now.better reception is gained by installing an outdoor antenna
That's the same results I had wwith one of the same. When I was on a hunting lease, well west of the metro area, I did use one, along with an ac adapter, with a discone on top of my travel trailer. I got exceptionally long range on Vhf high. But here in town, it was useless, overloading the scanner. Plus, I have no idea where I stashed that ac adapter, so since I don't own a 9v battery company (since it goes through one a day), it's gathering dust in the 'no longer used' pile of obsolete radios. If you are in a large town or a high power transmitter the amp in the classifieds will make your problem worse because it will amplify noise just as much as signal. plus it will eat 9 volt batteries at the rate of 1 a day I have one just like it that I do not use anymore.

Yes P25/DMR/NXDN, ID Search on all systems.I imagine you're listening to P25 radio systems, as well as other frequencies. Are you scanning with 'ID SCAN' or 'ID SEARCH'? If you use 'ID SEARCH' you'll hear more radio traffic from surrounding counties on multi-county or statewide radio systems.
ID SCAN - will only scan a specific list of talkgroups that you programmed into your scanner.
ID SEARCH - will scan the radio tower as a whole, and you will hear any radio that connects (affiliates) to your county's tower.
If you just have poor reception of the digital radio towers, and analog frequencies, then an outdoor antenna will greatly improve your range.
