Okay this may be a little unique. I have both the DMR, and NXDN upgrades on my 436. The DMR key is listed on MyUniden, whilst the NXDN key is not. I got my NXDN key direct from Paul back when he did a special for database admins when the NXDN support first came out. As I am going to be sending the 436 in for some repair work, (Maybe sending in my PRO-96 also). As they will most likely be replacing the motherboard (backlight, and USB port issues), I wonder is there any way to recover the NXDN key so I can reinstall the upgrades once the scanner comes back home. I already know that this will need to be done, and hoping they do not erase the SD card lol.

They should be able to recover the keys or issue new ones, advise them prior to having any work performed. Backup your Micro SD card to another one which is a good idea anyway.

FYI if the serial # does change as a result of a motherboard swap, and they don't clone the serial #, that key will no longer work. As the other poster stated, it doesn't hurt to put a note on the scanner when sending it in stating that it has both keys.
