US Tower..?'s

Hi,

Anyone use their MA-40 Tubular Tower? I am thinking of getting it due to the design being a little more neighbor friendly than a standard square tower and it can be raised and lowered as needed. Says it retails for around $1500, is that accurate or is it a bit less at the retailers?

I don't use that tubular tower but here is one that I built and is working out perfect for me and is neighbor friendly if I say so myself.
If you don't have a welder you can easily have a welding shop or friend to weld it for you. Here is some pics.

Hi,

Thats an outstanding setup and I have read the WIKI on it prior but my problem is not having enough room to raise it up without hitting the power lines. My lot is very deep but lacks width. I have about 15' before I would hit power lines upon raising it up. This would give me a 5' window to ensure I did not kill myself raising the antenna.

Ya, your kinda screwed for this kind of set-up then. The teloscopic ones would be nice.
