The USB cable that comes with the SDS200 is just a bit short for my desktop set up. Bestbuy and others offer 6' and longer USB 3.0 Extension cables, Male A by Female A, I know in the past some USB devices can be fussy, Can anyone verify if this will work to extend my programing cable without any issues?

thanks
Dave

I use a six foot cable plus a ten foot extension on my BCD996P2 to my PC with Proscan --- works just fine.

I'm using an 8' right angle USB on my SDS200.

Since you are not POWERING the 200 with the cable, it isn't so picky. USB3 isn't necessary, because the 200 is USB2, but it can't hurt.

Now, the 100, being that it is a bit of a power hog, will yell at you (lowVDC) if you don't use a cord with AWG24 on the black and red.....
