Hi Don,

Thought I'd ask before I louse up any of my files that I so laborosly put together today.
Concerning the V Folders, and getting them into the Scanner.

I have generated after much copying and pasting several Files that I have labeled V2, V3, etc.
They are located on my Desktop, and I can, of course, access them from your program.

I guess the thing I want to do is to get them into the list in Scanner\Virtual Scanner via the program from my Desktop. Right ?

How is this done, as there doesn't seem to be any "Browse" function to tell the program where they reside ? Or, do you just Open the Folder via the program, and then it populates the list ?

Or,...?

BTW: Suggestion: would it be possible to add a Remove-Duplicates function for the lists ?

Regards, and thanks,
Bob

To put a few CONV objects into a V-Folder, you'll have to have a P500 file on your computer that represents the contents of that V-Folder. You'd open that P500 file (along with the the file that contains the CONV objects to copy), then copy and paste between the two. Save the V-Folder's P500 file, then use Win500's Scanner, Virtual Scanner function to upload the file to the radio.

When you click on the button that says "write" it will ask you for the file you want. Select it there.

To elaborate a little on what rdale said...

After selecting "Virtual Scanner" from the "Scanner" menu, you're presented with a dialog box where you define the operations you want to perform. Usually, the first thing I do is click the "Refresh" button. That retrieves from the scanner info about the current V-Folder contents.

To upload a P500 file to a particular V-Folder, click the "Write" cell for that V-Folder. You'll be presented with an "Open File" dialog, from which you browse to and select the P500 file you want to put in that V-Folder. The "File" column will be populated with the name of the selected file, as will the "Name" column. You can change the "Name" column to anything you want (limit: 16 characters).

When you're done selecting the Write / Read / Clear options for all of the folders you want to change (you can change any or all of them in one operation), click the "Commit" button. Any folders selected for "Read" will be read into Win500, any selected for "Clear" will be erased in the radio, and any selected for "Write" will be updated with the file you selected for that V-Folder.
