Guilford are dispatched by Guilford PD (Control 1), Madison Hose and North Madison are dispatched by Madison PD (Control 2). These three departments used to be on the same low band frequencies as the other "Shoreline" departments and are part of the Valley Shore mutual aid system. Also as a not guilford and Madison are in New Haven County.

The towns closer to Middletown utilize the "10-XX" style numbering system though many of thier appartus don't reflect it, mainly ambulances and officer car numbers. Haddam when though dispatched by Valley Shore is refered to as "Department 13" over the air. The only thing that I can assume why they are refered to as 10-13 in Middlesex County is not to be confused with the rest of the Eastern CT departments that utilize a similar numbering system.

How does valley shore dispatch Middlefield as 10_2 dept 2 or just middlefield.

Just "Middlefield Fire" is announce on dispatch I beleive.
