Vancouver Police

Just got a pro 197 and I cant seem to find the Vancouver police frequencies, Ive been on other websites and it gives me the talk-group # but it doesn't provide the control frequencies. Any info will help.

start here.

All of Vancouver PD (as well as just about every other public safety agency in the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area) are on 800MHz trunked radio systems.

Your scanner, the Pro-197, is new enough that it does not need all of the channels, only enter the 4 control frequencies (859.7625, 859.9375, 860.7625, 860.9375).

You don't necessarily need to input the rebanding bandplan, but you can, to be thorough.

ok i got the frequencies in, the type is set to mot 800/900 but when it scans it never recieves anything, the t comes on the screen letting you know its getting trunked signals, but its not picking anything up, any help?

Ok figured it out, i had the wrong list activiated, thanks for the help.
