Hello everyone!
i am new to this forum.i want to receive frequency modulated (fm)signal at 100mhz.so which antenna is better
1. yagi antenna with folded dipole as a driven element and 300ohm twin cable from my antenna to the fm receiver.
or
2.yagi antenna with open dipole as a driven element and 50ohm RG213 coaxial cable from my antenna to the receiver

How long is the run?

How much local noise is there ate the receiver site?

What is the impedance of the receiver?

Can you mount the 300 ohm Twin-lead properly over its entire run?

distance from the antenna to receiver 15meter.the receiver has input impedance of 50-75ohm.the antenna is about 10meter height from my rooftop of the house.

I would go with 50 ohm antenna.

Same the (minor) transformer loss.

for the 50ohm coaxial cable,is it necessity to have the balun between the antenna and the coax.if yes ,please help me how to contruct the balun.
