VHF transciver

I need some help with what kind of speaker mic to get for this radio. I have no clue what brand it is all it has is VHF Transciver when i got it from ebay. Moto's are too small and IComs don't seem to work with it.

Well - I supersized the pics and it appears to be an icom "like" or similar but i cant be sure.
It looks like icom but I do not see a model number any where.

Dont know - need more info.

Does it have an FCC sticker on it?

It looks like one the Chinese brands that are showing up on Ebay now, Puxing, FDC, etc. I could be wrong but I don't think they are FCC type accepted. I remember reading a description of one of them where it said a Kenwood mic would work on them.

its a motorola ripoff. i programmed one for a friend and will never do it again.. it is a HUGE PITA. no it is not FCC approved. i want to say its modeled after the EX500 maybe but for the life of me i cant remember what the mic jack looked like. it says GRMS radio but i though that was UHF not VHF. for a few $'s more you could have bought a nice used radio that is FCC compliant.

Ask the guy you bought it from.

Since you bought the radio from a retailer...why not ask them for this info? Hell, they may even have the items you are looking for. Geeesh!

No the guy that i bought it from didn't even know what kinda mic would work with it. I will be purchesing the one that Jerri linked to me to see if that works and returning the ICOM mic.
