I have my eyes on a Bearcat 210 radio for sale which in my opinion, was the best scanner that I've ever owned. It was extremely sensitive, but definitely a splash box. When I lived on the Eastside of Providence, during certain atmospheric conditions I could receive signals from the FDNY & Suffolk County Sheffif's radio calls. During these times, the North Providence Fire Dept. couldn't transmit or receive calls because they were on the same freq(154.250) of Manhattan Dispatch. The EPPD also experienced interference from Suffolk County, NY. My question is, what PD/FD cities are still operating on VHF/UHF? I'm thinking Warwick, Cranston & Pawtucket PD.

You can easily answer your own question by looking at the database. You're not going to be able to pick up the P25 stuff with a Bearcat 210
