I am reprogramming my PSR300 and the manual states "only one trunked system per bank" along with conventional freqs. My current line up is just that: Wake county viper site on 1, Granville co viper site on 2, Durham co viper on 3 and so on. My question is this: can you combine viper tower "sites" on one bank, for instance wake viper freqs and durham viper freqs onto bank 1 and combine talkgoups to save space? I assume a TG such as 2288 would be the same on the wake co tower when simulcast on granville or durham site as many of these I've heard already when scanning across all three banks (RDU and BPSMAIN for example are on 2 or 3 towers/site at the same time).
Also the wake viper site has so many SHP Troops that you wouldnt think would be active on there, Troop G, H, etc. I'm used to whatever troop assigned to an area/tower being local. Is that because Raleigh/Wake Co being the capital has more traffic of SHP personnel or what? Or are they calling from their respective locations and being relayed to Raleigh for some specific reason?
I guess figuring out which tower has which TG's assigned to it is trial and error then right? Or does every site/tower have "Statewide/Systemwide" Tg's assigned to them?

Thanks!

Yes, you can program multiple sites into one bank; it's still one system. You are correct in that the talkgroup IDs are the same, the only thing that changes is the control channel. They state that in the manual so talkgroups don't get cross-contaminated with different systems within the same bank.
