I came up with a method where I don't have to buy another piece of gear.

If you have an ipad/iphone just use the USB charging base. Set the Voice recorder to USB = AC.

Bada bing bada boom. No more AAA batteries for me.

I use to use an old laptop and a app called Xcorder. Hard drive recordings are virtually infinite since you can back them up to an external HDD or burn to optical media. Forth of july is the best!
