HI everyone,

I have a pro95 RS scanner and i have put in all the freq's that this site lists, but i still can not lock onto the control channel. Does anyone know if they possibly added a new channel? I will also attach the win95 file that i used to do the scanner (Scanner.txt open it in win95). Thank you everyone and any help would be appreciated.

With EDACS start with channel x01, leave first channel blank - x00 (x = bank #)

for the volusia county system, you must put A system in one bank starting with LCN #1 on position 1. Then put system B in a second bank once again LCN in postion 1. If you want Daytona Beach then you must use another bank with LCN 1 in position 1.

ok...so on the scanner i would leave channel 0 empty and start with 1 correct?

ok..i tried that...a system in one bank b in another...channel 00 is empty and i still cant...i had it worked once before..but i cant get it now :-( if anyone has a pro95 and has volusia can you send me the p95 file for it?

thanks again guys..i really appreciate your help..especially since we just had tornado's im trying to listen to the ems channels.

As I type this, the control channels that are active are:


856.7375 System 1
858.4875 System 2
857.2125 Event System (DB)

I hope you didn't program it for control channel only, because that doesn't work for EDACS systems.

with edacs never concern yourself with control channels. There is never a LCN of 0, so you would never use 000, 100, 200 etc.

Do you have the WIN95 to program your scanner. If not it is free from www.starrsoft.com and you will need to buy the correct cable at radio shack. It sure does make it easy.

The thing I wonder about now, is the bank must be set for EDACS and each channel must be set for EDACS. This so easy to see with WIN95 and difficult to do manually.

i have done everything the way it says it should be done and i still cannot monitor..this is weird. does anyone have the pro96/97/95 file they could send me? i can convert it and then hopefully try it.
