During todays storm a general announcement was mad for selected units to move to Blue 5. I looked but could not find what this talk group is used for. Sounds like a tac but there are tac channels also.
Is there a site that lists all the terms on Stars?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Blue channels act as an "overflow" for divisional traffic. They can be used for incidents such as ball games, weather, races or any other function that involves significant radio traffic. Each Division has a Blue channel.

I don't know of site or cheat sheet that list the STARS terms. Your best bet is here.

"blue" channels can be used really for anything they want to use them for. Sometimes they will use them for checking details or ALS (air, land, speed) assignments. Also, each division has a 3rd talkgroup; Like Chesapeake 1 and 2, they also have Chesapeake 3. They rarely use them, but they are there.

Maybe it is something as simple as Blue 5 Restaurant in downtown Roanoke VA. Might of been heading for lunch and some blues music.
