I have an HP2 . I’ve updated and made a new favorites list but still not hearing all of the transmission . Also Cheshire is almost silent now . Maybe they are getting a new system too. Any suggestions ?

Cheshire FD was having issues on their Primary for a few days but that has since been corrected. All Cheshire services are still operating on conventional channels. Wallingford has switched over to P25/II trunked but is still simulcasting on VHF. My BCD996XT (P25/I) doesn't receive Wallingford's new system, though I do get certain talkgroups on CSP's new system, for what that's worth.

Based on the DB entry for Wallingford their P25 Phase II system is using all TDMA (aka Phase II) TGs as noted by the "T" in the "mode" column which the 996XT can't decode. CLMRN while a Phase II system appears to be using mostly Phase I TGs now, noted as a "D" in the "mode" column, i.e. the Dispatch and Car/Car channels used by CSP, which your scanner can decode. However, DOT and most municipal users use Phase II TGs which your scanner will not decide.

Great info, thanks. I previously missed the "Mode" information in the DB regarding CLMRN (DOT / CSP, specifically) when I was reprogramming my XT. This is exactly what I am seeing (obviously). I need to upgrade.
