I'm sorry, is this not the proper forum for my query???

When I'm in King County, I hear AMR pop on this conventional freq. right after I hear the same voice and dispatched address after it's called out from SFD 9A AMR, TG 1968.

A search on the WA frequency page / search input shows other counties, but not King. I also hear it when I'm in Shohomish county from time to time.

Point is: I know it's AMR, but I'm wondering why it does not show King Co. on the search for frequency page results for WA.

Thanks,
Dave

Good question I don't live in King County, I am in the very north end of Snohomish County so I dint know anything about AMR, I believe what you are hearing is being repeated, I know that in some County's in Washington State this is common practice, stuff from Conv.. will be repeated on talkgroups and vice a versa.

AMR link.
AMR | American Medical Response | Home

They are contractors, not city employees, so I don't believe they would be on the city trunking system, that would be my best guess, I believe that there Conv. stuff is repeated on the county's trunking system, its patched to the countys trunking system.

After more listening, I contend that 155.220 is AMR's own CONV freq. for the Seattle/King area, as RR states it is for other counties.

Within a 1-2 seconds after Seattle Fire requests AMR on SFD 9 AMB (TG 1968) with a Seattle/King street address, 155.220 lights up with the same Seattle/King street address as an order to a specific bus.

I live in Newcastle, which is in line of sight to Cougar Mtn and Seattle's Columbia Tower, Capitol Hill and Queen Anne. So the signal I receive is super strong.

ALSO -

It seems Airlift NW has upgraded to digital of some sort on 155.295. I heard an update about a patient on my RS PRO-106 and the little P25 doodad was highlighted. On my other conventional scanners, this same conversation was garbled "modem static" so to speak on 155.295.

Thanks,
D

155.220 is definitely NOT a conventional repeat of Seattle/King TG 1968. The conversations are completely specific to AMR on 155.220. TG 1968 is SFD's "line out" to AMR.

Seattle Fire units request AMR directly using their TG, AMR then contacts their unit via some other frequency, I'm assuming the VHF you're listening to. By contract AMR has some set period of time to get on scene before they accrue fines. I don't think it's a per call fine but more based on their average response times. That explains part of why you hear the address so quickly after the request on the TG. AMR also "lurkes" in the area of calls, meaning that they pay attention to what calls Seattle is going on and will shuffle units around to make sure they have someone close.

Right on.

My point of this thread is that a search of 155.220 here on RR Washington, should include King Co in the results list associated with AMR. It does not currently show King County.

I must have overlooked where one needs to submit/suggest frequencies and associated description updates.

Good afternoon all

I reside up here near Arlington and unfortunately in a river valley. Reception is less than desirable but I still get to hear a few good things. I mainly listen to SERS more specifically SCSO North and SNOPAC Tac 5.

Happy listening all

Just found this thread...

I'm in Spokane and I'm scanning with a little Uniden SC200 that I've had for awhile. Mainly I scan Spokane city and county law enforcement, WSP, and Spokane city and county fire. In the summer I also add in DNR and USFS fire frequencies, and in the winter I usually scan the local electrical utility freqs and county and city road departments.

I've been looking at getting a new scanner sometime soon, but I think I'm going to wait a couple of years to see if anybody here moves to digital trunking. Right now most everything around here is analog VHF/UHF.

I really enjoy listening to the WSP aircraft doing speed enforcement on clear days.

Hi, I'm Matt and I'm an alc---OOPS! Wrong meeting.

Currently I'm in Kittitas listening to public safety, because that's really all you can listen to out here, but I'll be moving in the summer and will be in either Thurston or King County, listening to civilization.

Hi everyone. My name is Roger.

I moved to Tacoma about 4 months ago from Springfield, Missouri. I was an active Skywarn and ARES member in Christian County, MO.

Currently, I have two RadioShack scanners, the PRO-164 and PRO-106, along with numerous HAM mobile and handheld radios.

I currently scan Tacoma Fire, PD North and South, along with Lakewood, Puyallup, Pierce County Sheriff, and WA State Patrol. On occasion, I also scan Seattle PD and FD.

I am definitely looking for new friends in the area, and what better friends than fellow HAM's and scanner enthusiasts. Send me a PM anytime. Happy scanning everyone!
