Is anyone aware of upcoming changes to Waterbury's P25 Phase 1 system? Maybe a upgrade to Phase II, new controllers, as well as linking with the states CLMRN system.
Currently it's sitting on a CC of 851.900 as it's been, with SCC/ACC of 851.1875, 852.1125 and 852.1750.
No noticable changes. Same as it's been for a while.
However, the State's CLMRN's Troop A and Troop I Simulcast systems show 1.097-1.1 (Waterbury) as a peer with a CC listing of 851.18750, one of its current ACC/SCC's. It has been so for over a week and a half now... maybe 2 weeks or so.

This makes me believe they have the State CLMRN A and I sites IP-Linked to perhaps a new Controller (Or backup controller) for Waterbury's sites that they have yet to go live with, and will be using one of the current ACC's for so their radios can make a seamless switch to the new controller. And I assume they will link in much like Middletown and Wallingford, where if a Waterbury unit roams out of range, CLMRN can pickup and relay back to the Waterbury system. (Makes sense since A covers I-84 along Waterbury, and I covers Route 8 South part of Waterbury).
