Weird power-up screen

I just noticed something weird. When I power-up my BC346XT on the screen it displays BC246T, not BC346XT.

I did have to send it to Uniden for repairs about a year ago and I just noticed it today. I have two other 346XTs but haven't checked those as of yet.

What does your firmware version say? Does it have a custom startup message by accident?

Did you notice he listed a BC246T?

I just noticed on my other 2 BC346XTs it's the same, BC246T. Strange.

My guess is if you use software to load your scanners you may have made a boo boo (it is easy to do) and loaded a file that had been saved with the 246. I did the same thing by mistake on my 396XT, instead it said 996T. I use the same software for all my Uniden's and I do get the 15, 996 & 396 mixed up sometimes.I just had to re-load my saved profile for that scanner.

That's it! I never thought it would change the start-up screen however. I just fixed it.
