Hi everyone! I am looking for local knowledge of Weld county to help create a list of what agencies in Weld county use the DTRS, as well as who dispatches them. Since I am unfamilair with this area, I am looking for your help and please post your answers here!

And if there are any agencies in Weld County that are not on the DTRS, please post this information as well.

Just about every agency in Weld uses DTRS, they are dispatched by Weld county communications in Greeley. And I'm not sure about the SO frequencies, I've never heard them used. Let me know what other information you want, I live in south Weld and thats most of what I listen to.

Nate, thanks for your reply. The specific informaiton I am looking for are the names of major cities/towns in Weld County and what specific TG on the DTRS dispatches for them.

Example:
Ault
Dacono
Eaton
Evans
Firestone
Frederick
Garden City
Gilcrest
Grover Hudson
Raymer
Severance
Windsor

I left out Greeley and Ft. Lupton because of their specific entries in the DTRS. Also, if there are specific fire protection districts within in Weld. I would love to get this information as well.

Thanks!

Well lets see, Greeley should be the only one by itself, Fort Lupton about 2 years ago dropped having their own TG because it was costing to much in dispatch fees, they are now dispatched on local law south with Dacono, Fredrick Firestone, and other cites south of Highway 34, except for Evans which is on local law north along with cities north of highway 34, I'm not sure about Raymer and some of the other that are way up there because I never hear them. As for fire, just about every FD has a protection district, but they are dispatched on the main and then are assigned a FG TG except for Fort Lupton which always uses FG10, and in addition FG11 and 12 are set aside for training. Oh and I forgot to mention above about Fort Lupton PD they use one of their old TGs as a tac ch don't remember off hand which it is and of coarse there are the tac TGs that go along with SO and each local TG. Just about every TG that Weld has gets used.

All the 460.xxxx county freqs have been off the air for a number of years.
All the 453.xxxx county freqs and Greeley 453.75 and 453.8750 are History.

453.3000 and 453.5500 are MDC data transmission.

Weld Jail moved from 453.650 to 453.7875 MotoTRBO earlier this year.

453.1500 is knox paging for Greeley Fire (Formerly Union Colony Fire)

Here's a link to the Weld County Fire District Map:
Weld fire district map final
There was a thread a while back that listed the fire district numbering system. I thought it was in the wiki but it looks like it isn't.

I didn't know Ft. Lupton went to Weld South dispatch. That's great news since I can't get the Fort Lupton tower I didn't think I could hear them. Guess I'll have to listen to Weld South.

Well the Fort Lupton tower switched frequencies a few months ago, so you might want to check your CC and see if you have the right one. But ya they switch to weld south cause of cost, it was costing them I think around $25,000 a year for their own dispatcher, where as it now only cost about $5,000, don't quote me on those numbers but I think thats about right.

This is great information. Erik and I have talked and we'll try going county-by-county to clean things up and get good lists of jurisdictions and what system(s) they use into the database. It sounds like newcomers generally go to the conventional database to find the city or area they want to know about and if they don't find it there, they get lost. The goal will be to have a comprehensive list of each jurisdiction in each county database page along with the conventional frequencies or trunked system they use. We'll definitely need everyone's help on this one! :)

I've added information to the post
Nate, thanks for your reply. The specific informaiton I am looking for are the names of major cities/towns in Weld County and what specific TG on the DTRS dispatches for them.

Example:
Ault - PD North
Dacono - PD South
Eaton - PD North
Evans - PD North
Firestone - PD South
Frederick - PD South
Garden City - there was a thread a while back. They will contact with Weld SO (currently Evans PD) so no PD of their own
Gilcrest - PD South
Grover - do they have their own PD?
Hudson - contracts with Weld SO
Raymer - do they have their own PD?
Severance - PD North
Windsor - PD North
also Lochbuie - PD South, Platteville - PD South, LaSalle - ?, Kersey - ?, Johnstown - PD South, Milliken - PD South, Nunn - PD North, Pierce - PD North

I left out Greeley and Ft. Lupton because of their specific entries in the DTRS. Also, if there are specific fire protection districts within in Weld. I would love to get this information as well.

To answer your question, Hudson did not change to Southeast Weld FD they however at times act under SE Weld I do believe and yes Keenesburg and Prospect Valley are SE Weld FD. And some may or may not know that Hudson FD covers Locbuie as well, and Locbuie has their own PD and Hudson does not and they are covered by Weld SO.

I think I remember you saying the same thing when it was posted the first time!

Anyways - Keenesburg, Roggen and Prospect Valley comprise SE Weld FPD.

Also for the Weld PD channels the units call in as Frederick x, Lochbuie y etc so they use their town name as part of the call sign. Mead also contacts with Weld SO.
