What do I need to be abel to listen to shuttle transmissions on a BCD996T?

What do I need to be able to pick up space shuttle or other space transmissions on a Uniden BCD996T?Do I need any special software or special equipment and what frequencies?My scanner is in Pike Conty,Kentucky.

Nothing you can do, the space shuttle transmissions are not able to be monitored with a scanner. Best bet is to go online during a mission -- http://www.nasa.gov/ntv
