What is the main "channel" that you listen too? Post the frequency or TGID, tone, etc.

There is way more than one dispatch channel for PD in the Phoenix metro area, but for FD I usually just have one on Mesa dispatch and Rural Metro dispatch.

I have my many favorite main channels. However, the when I 'm watching TV, I have the scanner parked on IFERN which is for Milwaukee area fire departments(patches to and from Chicago area). That is a radio network used by MABAS for mutual aid.

I normally listen to Grundy County Public Safety (all tg's), Starcom21 P25 (listen to any of the ISP dist's I can get. D5, D6, D17 ect. / IEMA tg's), sometimes I'll monitor Will County Public Safety EDACS and Joliet Public Safety.

I really like to listen to 147.2700 SKYWARN / HAM during adverse weather. They are good at what they do!

Tough question though as I'll listen to just about anything!

Well, I probably have too many to list, but I'm usually "parked" on Hammond Police Dispatch on the Hammond/East Chicago Public Safety Trunk System (TGID 48).

Sacramento Metro Fire Dispatch

For any major event, sooner or later the fire department is called (vehicle wreck, shooting, fire, etc) and by concentrating on this one channel, I don't have to be as bombarded with routine calls. Now multiply that for every jurisdicion you want to know what is going on.

Westchester County New York Fire Dispatch 46.26 mhz and Westchester County 60 Control on the trunking system ID 4816. They are kinda interelated, dispatched on 46.26 answer responding on the trunked system. I also keep all the fire trunk groups going with 60 as priority.
