What scanner to buy

I have a RS Pro 97 and want to step it up now> First off money is not the ? hear. Im looking for the best portable scanner. I have seen a lot of good things about the psr500. But also looking at the ar8200 mark 3. We use it most for police scanning but was hopping to get more out of a beter scanner. If anyone could help out please let me know what would be the all around best scanner to buy. Thanks for the help

Im from Kansas city Mo and travel to Panama City FL four to six times a year so would also what to play with it on the way down and back.

If you have seen in the database for your county, most are switching to digital. This is happening all around the country. My personal choice would be the Pro-106. It is on sale for $349 at the shack. Using Win500 software, the USB cable, and a premium subscription here on RR. You can make use of over 1800 objects in 20 Scan Lists to program the scanner for your trips
