The way things appear to be headed in the "new world order" of communications, the only thing monitorable with even these new all purpose super scanners will be VHF avaiation comms & I figured that would be the first thing to go since 9/11, strange.

That would be years away if at all. I'm sorry but they said that scanning would have been dead long before 9-11. Even if that was the case, there are any number of things you can monitor. Step back and take a childlike approach to scanning much the way you did when you first got hooked on this madness. Put the thing in search and see what comes up and for Heaven's sake, lighten up and enjoy it. If a car builder stops building your favorite car, does that mean you never buy another car and give up driving?

There is nothing that encryption in the VHF aviation band would have prevented pre 9/11/2001 so what are you suggesting?

But PuzzleRiddle or whatever your moniker is, didn't you say that even before 9/11 that the European 8.33 standard was a form of encryption although I believe it to be the frequency spacing format for European airlines & that this Radarbox unit would stop terrorism in it's tracks? I believe you also clearly stated that Acars was the first digital encryption mode for VHF avaiation even though it was & still is easily decodable? I heard from a reliable source that you were overheard saying that at one of the SPLC conferences on ethnic studies.
