which antenna?

I am probably going to get bcd996t for xmas and am thinking about different antennas. I curently have a bc350c and just use the suction-cup mount. I want to either get a magnet mount antenna or one to clamp on my brushguard.

what is the best value? (im not looking to spend over about $35)
where is the best place to buy?
any suggestions?

A larsen 2/70 mag mount would work quite well in the center of the
roof. If your not scared to put a hole in your pretty truck....
a 3/4 hole mount works the best.
But an antenna on your brush guard.....ick!

i have actually decided to go with the 396t and a control head. will the antennas for mobile radios work with the hadheld units?

yes they will, you just may need an adapter for whatever type of scanner/antenna coax combo you run.

thanks, where is the best place to purchase antenas and adapters...i have been shooping at bearcatwarehouse and there selection for anteenae is quite small
