Re: win500 or arc500

Each software program has a free trial period. Suggest you download each and use the program during its trial period. That way you can see for your self what each program has to offer.

Thank you for the quick replies. Since I have zero knowledge on this I have two more questions. First is if I load something on to the scanner using one program will it appear if I view the scanner on the other program as being on the unit? Second newbie question is, does one program have any advantage over the other? I asked on a different thread about the arc500 vs. arc500 pro and is the pro version necessary for the average user and does this option put it above the win500 software?
I respect the knowledge of the members here to help make my journey easier into programming, using and getting up to speed.

If you set up a file in one program and upload it to the scanner, you can fire up the other program and download the data to it. Now you have a file in both programs.

As for which is better, can't speak for Arc, didn't try it for very long. Win500 did what I wanted, so I went with it.

To further muddy the water there is PSREdit500. Personally I found this very easy, streight forwared and with a free trial as well.
