Hello,

Winter now, and at my age it would be hard for me to get out back to verify connections, etc., but was wondering
about the following, which, if you think a good idea, I could probably implement.

Do receiving only.
Have a long wire ant in backyard, a Noo-Elec (if I remember right) 9:1 Balun, and a coax run up to the house.
Works, but would like to improve.

Regarding the Win Radio WiNRADiO WR-LWA-0130 Long Wire Adapter (about $40), anyone using ?
Or, if anyone has a spare minute, might they take a look at it from the WinRadio site, please.

Think it would be "meaningfully" better than the very cheap Noo-Elec 9:1 Balun ?

And, should the metal case of it be grounded, if I do purchase it ? Why ?

Thanks, and a Happy Holiday,
Bob

While nit about the NooElec, here is a comparison of a generic 9:1 to the WinRadio 9:1.

Grounding the case could cut down on noise, and lower the chances of static getting to the radio.
