I am getting alot of interference from my Logitech wireless mouse.
It is mainly on CB channel 19, but does it some on others.

I have noticed that some other wireless mice I have tried do it some also, but they are not as bad as mine.
Mine makes a loud buzzing noise and click with every movement or click.

Is there any way to prevent this?
I assume I am pretty much out of luck here, but just wanted to check.
I noticed turning the squelch up a good bit will not pick it up, but then I cant hear any soft CB transmissions.

Any certain mice out there that are good about not interfering?

Not really unless you either move the CB or the computer away from the source of the interference.

The wireless keyboard will do the same as well.

They operate on a low power frequency between the CB Ch. 19

i guess you could try moving the cb further away from the mouse/reciever ... or just moving it to a different spot might help ... maybe upgrading your antenna cable too ... or just switch to a wired mouse and save yourself the headache :) good luck!

The my Uniden BC246T scanner doesnt do it as much, it seems to be able to tell the difference from a real signal and just more noise.

The CBs (Uniden 510XL and Midland 75-822) are what pick it up really well.
Moving it doesnt do much good. The antenna is on top the house, I am in the basement.
I am using RB-8 cable.

I cant stand wired mice, I can always feel the drag of the cord, and it gets caught on things.
So I would like to stick with wireless if possible.
Though its not looking good, might have to go through several to find one that doesnt interfere.

Or you could teach your mouse to speak CB..."That's a big 10-4 good buddy. Yer wall-to-wall and tree-top tall. Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down and we'll catch you on the flip flop. We be on the side and gone."

If you get a good quality mousepad that has a mouse leash it all but eliminates the drag from the cord...see http://www.func.net/ for some proper pads. Also, most of the better mice use a low friction cloth like outer layer on the mice cords these days so it slides around well. As for mice, I like a heavy mouse so I really like the Logitech G5 'gaming' mouse for my main workstation. Its a good quality laser mouse and you can load it up with weights to get the feel you like. They are a little expensive but well worth the money IMO, if you go with a 'real' mouse ;) I would put a G5 at the top of your list. Nothing like a good heavy mouse and a large mousing surface with just the right amount of friction...

edit: I see that the G5 is about $45 now, not bad at all. Sure was more expensive two years ago when I purchased mine lol. Great mouse for $45.

Woah, I thought I was reading a thread at QRZed dot com there for a second.

Different brands are on different frequencies.

You can look for one that is not on 27 MHz.

(I think Microsoft are the 27 MHz ones)

Get an infrared wireless mouse. It uses light pulses instead of radio. :)

Really?

Where do I get an infrared mouse?

(Are you sure you are not mixing up the motion detection from the wireless transmission?)

I wish they would all list the exact freqs they are using.
As I said, so far, 3 out of 3 wireless mice have messed with the signal, but mine by far is the loudest.

I will have to look around, maybe I will have to settle for a wired one.
Though, even then, I cant find any with media controls.

like I said before ... Bluetooth is the way to go ... it operates in the 2.4GHz ISM band and uses frequency hopping ..... try it and save your reciept, whats the worst that could happen?

from http://www.palowireless.com/infotooth/tutorial.asp
Designed to operate in noisy frequency environments, the Bluetooth radio uses a fast acknowledgement and frequency hopping scheme to make the link robust. Bluetooth radio modules operate in the unlicensed ISM band at 2.4GHz, and avoid interference from other signals by hopping to a new frequency after transmitting or receiving a packet.

Gyration brand also uses 2.4

I have MS and Logitech, and I know one of them said 27 MHz, but I forget which one.
