Wow, you mean to tell me people actually use WIRES II?
I'd be willing to bet that the system would be coordinated just like a repeater through your state's repeater council. I'm looking through the most recent Ohio repeater directory (
http://www.oarc.com/ORD_08_09.pdf) for any coordinated repeater with the callsign of W8RUT.
The only one I'm seeing is:
5 Columbus 224.6600 W8RUT oal CENTRAL OH AREA R GROUP
I'm not sure if it's the WIRES II system you're looking for, but it's listed as open (o), has autopatch (a) and is linked (l).
In my area, a "linked" repeater could mean anything from plain old linked, Echolink/IRLP, D-STAR, P-25 or WIRES. Though I do find it odd that a WIRES II system would have autopatch, so I don't think this is the WIRES II system you're looking for.
I've done a search everywhere else I could think of too, and this is all I could come up with. It's possible that it's no longer on the air, or the system is very new and relatively unheard of, and the internet hasn't found out about it yet.
The most recent repeater directory that your repeater council has published on its website is 08-09, so maybe check around to see if there's a more recent version.
