Thanks at least i know there leagle just as a hypathetical question can they be considerd as part of an amature station duties to relly raise a stink if push would ever come to shove?

Since they are legal, I don't understand your question. What difference does it make whether you consider them part of an Amateur Radio station? Who would hypothetically be raising the stink? What are you referring to when you say "if push would ever come to shove"?

Seems to me that they are legal and that it doesn't make any difference whether they are part of an Amateur Radio station or some other hobby. They are legal either way.

What part of this aren't you understanding? They aren't illegal, therefore no prohibition. What's the issue?

Also, a scanner is not a piece of amateur radio equipment so I fail to see how that could be considered part of your station equipment as it pertains to your FCC license.

I've driven passed many police in my car. I have even parked next to two police who were walking on the sidewalk. No officer has stopped me for my scanning equipment.
