Does anyone have the frequencies for the World Ag Expo in Tulare next month? I am planning on attending and would like the frequencies for the event staff. I know that in the past, they have used 460-469 mhz splinter frequencies with FCC temporary authorizations, and also the standard VHF/UHF itinerant/ "low power uhf" business frequencies, but no idea about this year. I also plan on plugging in Tulare airport which is right next to the showgrounds and usually sets up seperate tower and ground freqs for the heavy air traffic from show attendees. I know the standard public safety channels, as well as FRS/GMRS/MURS is a must. Should I plug in Secret Service and CHP UHF for Protective Services Division? There is usually at least one high profile dignitary that attends each year.
For instance, the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and State Ag Secretary are known to appear on a regular basis. Last year Rudolph Giuliani made a campaign stop there. In 2005, I was in the parking lot, when the Nigerian Prime Minister came in by helicopter and landed in a alfalfa field 500 yards from my truck. Also, there are "people movers" that roam grounds, and they have a "sweeper" on the rear, spotting for the driver, and the two communicate with little radio shack "hands free" belt clip radios with headsets, I know RS marketed both FRS radios and some old 49 mhz rigs in this style, anyone have current info? I have also noticed a military chopper painted army green floating above the showgrounds several times, most likely securing the airspace. Does anyone have information on callsigns and frequency usage information for helo detachments that might be tasked with this mission? For those into media monitoring, KJUG 106.7 FM has a live broadcast remote with constant audio feed during the show on 450.1375. It's useful to listen to for general show info, and it's funny to hear what the DJ's say when not "live",
since they think that because the mic is not in hand, no one can hear them talking. Also, I would be interested in any frequencies for the " ride & drive" arenas.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
