MW Logs WQFG689 Hudson Co. on 1710 kHz

Today for the first time am receiving the above station broadcasting Covid virus info to community residents on 1710 kHz. Pretty good signal as I am in the western part of NJ, possibly they've upped their output, or band condx are excellent.

IIRC, read somewhere that they are currently on a STA which authorizes a power increase to 100 watts.

They had a fairly good signal into Michigan this morning about 0930Z.

Hearing them again this morning about an hour before sunrise, a fair signal with a little QSB.
Using a portable this time, in the basement with just the internal loopstick for an antenna.

Heard at S9 S Level , (R4 S7) Good Audio - playing message "...we are currently experiencing technical difficulties..." Working Conditions : Yaesu FT857D into 80m Dipole at 60ft sloping East Down to 25ft
RF Conx: High Local RFI Noise Levels, slight QSB with static Crashes

Making it to Indianapolis real time. Not perfect but backing the FR gain down a bit helps cut the noise.
