I have a new WS-1065, and maybe someone can set me straight on the search feature.
Pg-35 of the manual speaks to the Limit Search. I've set in 30.005 to 39.995 as my upper and lower. Should I assume when the WS-1065 is scanning, it's doing so in 1 kHz increments? (ie: 30.005, 30.006, 30.007). Or is there a different resolution? I ask only because it's scanning fast and I can't tell what the resolution is.
The second question pertains to "birdies" or frequencies with noise on them.
When searching and coming upon noise, (internal to the WS-1065, or something nearby), is the standard practice to removing that frequency from the scan by pressing the FrL/O button? Or is there a better way to skip over a known frequency with just noise?
I'm trying to scan just Low Band to see if there are any area, or regional users still active. I later want to get BuTel to keep the search going while I'm at work.
