WS1040 USB Driver Windows 10

I'm trying to search, but might not be using the right words. I have the OEM cable. However I need the driver for it. When I go into device manager it says driver not installed. Can someone be as so kind as to point me where I can download the driver?

IF it wasn't for a site like this..... The WS-1040 needs this for win 10 (if I understand it right), anything else is a 'workaround' for something that just requires Windows OS. I for one am glad RR and its experienced membership, is available to help those who cannot get the radio to work 'out of the box' as many posts within the site seem to indicate. I believe Win 10 has been around for quite a while now, right?

Yes, I know, it is still being sold and it (driver) should be included with the radio IMHO.

Where did you find it? Whistler site only has Firmware update listed for 1040. Please share!

I found Virtual Com Port drivers (VCP) here: Virtual COM Port Drivers
This was for the OEM cable that came with the WS1040
