does the comet ch-32 pick up digital channels
The
comet ch-32 is an antenna. An antenna is not "only" for digital, nor analog transmissions. It merely picks up signals & feeds them to a scanner or radio, regardless of whether they are digital, or not.
That's a fairly short antenna. In a strong signal area, it may work acceptably. Some people use it in a simulcast area because it may reduce the out of sync transmissions from more distant sites, possibly enabling the scanner to deal with the system. It's sometimes used at auto races, such as NASCAR, since the user only wants to hear what is going on at the track itself.
It would not be a good choice if you are trying to receive a weak, distant, signal.
