WS1095 / WS1098 replacement displays available for purchase

In case anyone is in the same predicament I'm in: Needing a replacement display head for a WS109X-series or TRX-2 scanner... I just purchased a TRX-2 replacement display head for my WS1095 from Whistler for $105, (OK, $104.99 with taxes and shipping).

It's an unexpectedly cost effective way to keep my car-mounted WS1095 in the scanning game, without resorting to buying an entire scanner to cannibalize for parts. The WS1095, WS1098 and the TRX-2 can all use the same display head, which is a nice touch.

Until I inquired, online, I wasn't aware that you could purchase just the replacement display, so I thought I'd share.

Technically it is not just a "display" it is the entire control head.

You’re correct, of course… I choose the term “display” so as not to give anyone the impression that you could change the scanner’s functionality just by swapping a WS1095 head with a TRX-2 head.
