HI all quiet new to the forums

I've been at this for weeks and I'm still not clear on whats going on
I'm using RTL-SDR USB V3 and SDR-Console v3.2 and a DPKE137 Antenna
My problem is my images don't seem to come out right, I can hear the signal and see it quiet strong, I have a youtube recording of it
I have VB cable installed and have gone through the setting's by following alot of youtube video's and manuals that I could find on line

when decoding the signal using WXToImg I'm not geting any timing marks on the left or right, any idea what it could be ?

Looks to me like noise. In the configuration window, turn off AGC, then, set the gain to like +10 Db.
Use your waterfall and try to get the best signal with the least noise.
Use an FM broadcast trap before any LNA.

I'm getting a little closer, I changed the sound settings the VB cable to 2 channel - 16 bit - 11025 khz but could only do one side because the other didn't have 2 channel

lastest try

still no Timming marks thou you do see them if I import wav file into noaa-apt

I must be missing some things some were

I know I had a lot of problems with VB cable, so my fix is a laptop dedicated to decoders. Pipe the audio from the PC running the SDR stuff to the decoder PC. (real audio cable)
I also have a Harris radio with NOAA sat frequencies and run that to the decoder PC.
Also on a note, turn off filtersin SDR#. The audio I get from direct receivers is tapped before any deemphisis filters.
This setup works best for me because I also decode HF wefax, teletext, SSTV etc.
What is your antenna setup ? looks like so weak signal.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, My remote software is slower than a wet whistle even thou its only 7 feet behind me, I'm planning on using my main PC for this weather stuff, I have a PC that has a pair of iChill HerculeZ 3000 GTX 680 cards in it and a fair amount of memory running triple screens so thats more than enough than my Older HP all in one or my Ham Radio stuff, I'm also downloaded the signal from a FB friend and I'm going to convert it to wav file and muck about with the WXToImg today while at work if I can get some time WXToImg seems to be my issue, a FB chat told me about using Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) in stead of VB cable. but could you explain how you did your

Here's one of my recording

Your noise floor is way up, you should back the gain down until the floor is just above baseline.
Let me see what I can get on a next good pass.

OK for me to follow along is not going to be easy. My antenna is a hombrew version of yours and have a 13 Db gain drop amp.
A pass from NOAA 15 and 19, neither had any detectable signal so off to finding out why as this has at least worked in the past
with the antenna indoors.
As for Wxtoimage, I guess you know their site is gone, and all I have is an old version.
More later.

This is how far I got last night, Yer I had WXtoIMG crash this morning after I changed a elevation setting and I hit reset my mistake and the program not responding now so I'll have to start again, makes good practice I suppose, I'm now using a different SDR, I think it was spy, I haven't found the gain control yet..

Well, It looks like you are getting there. I need to get my antenna up on the roof with a new run of coax.
My old setup was a 9 element crosse Yagi mounted with a 1.2 meter dish and alt/az mount that WXtrack could run.
Don't recall getting better than what you have now.
