XTL2500 VHF AUDIO FROM TONES, NO RX AUDIO

Have an XTL2500 VHF O5 Dash mount.
it has an issue I haven't played with it in a while and went to use it. audio beeps happen when buttons are pressed, but there is no RX audio heard.
I have verified open squelch is active, and i go into the squelch setting and drop to 0, get the yellow RX led butt no audio.
it is not in PL decode mode. doesnt matter if mic in is hang up or not.



any ideas?

Have you tried a radio check with somebody?

yes, I see their signal via the yellow led, but no audio, got carrier squelch open, SQL set to 0, normally this should be open static.

The fact that you get the beeps when pushing buttons means your speaker and audio path are good. You get the
Rx indicator which means you have it programmed for the correct frequencies. Are any PL codes programmed in the radio and if so, have those changed? Are you within range of who you would normally talk to? Is your antenna connected properly?

Conventional Personality->MDC->Decode->Unmute Type (OR / AND) (should be OR)

Conventional Personality->DTMF->Decode->Unmute Type (OR / AND) (should be OR)

Conventional Personality->Quick-Call II->Decode->Unmute Type (OR / AND) (should be OR)

AND will require proper PL tone AND DTMF/MDC/QC2 sequence to unmute.

so with no options selected and the item is greyed out as AND on the DTMF and QUICK CALL, how do i get the options to not be greyed out and change them, or are they set that way due to other areas of the codeplug?
being greyed out, i cant change them
RX options say AND unmute OR unmute
