I picked up a new Vertex MH-25A8J mic at a hamfest this weekend that I would love to use with my FT7900.
The 8J has an 8 pin RJ45 connector on it and my FT7900 uses a 6 pin RJ11 connector. The 8J has 4 wires (braid, yellow,red, and black) and the MH48 with DTMF has 6 (braid, white,red,black,yellow, and blue).
I like the feel of the Vertex mic and realize the lack of buttons.
Any help on the RJ11 connector would be appreciated.
