What I see is the usual as Commissioner Phil Heilman said the standard "boiler late response" They know there is a problem, but will refuse to say there is a problem right up to the time they are fired or thrown out of office. The comments made by the York County Department of Emergency Services show that they are trying to minimize the situation, stating that it is random, and doesn't happen all the time. Now why would anyone in their right mind use such an intermitant system. The rank and file should abandon the system for their old radios when on a fire scene. If the county disapproves let them do something about it, the resulting investigation may show even more of a system wide problem than whats being seen now. I really wouldn't want to any official of York County after the first firefighter or civilian death attributed to this poorly designed and badly implemented system. All for the purpose of preventing the public from knowing whats going on in their county.
