Has anyone seen the new Yupiteru scanners listed on ebay? Does anyone have any info or specs?

Yes, Yupiteru MVT 5500 and MVT 7500, Both comes with Japanese Band Pland, Preprogramed with Japanese frequencies and menu is in Japanese. I looked into it some 12 months ago but give up. You can also ship from Rakuten in Japan. Far as I know there is no English version on the unit.
ps Search this forum, we have this discussion on the subject some time ago, as one of the members own MVT 7500.

I would think they should be cheaper than they once were,due to their dated technologies such as slow scan rates, analog only,etc.
However I think they might still make good receivers for monitoring business,ham comms.

Well the page says 20,000 Yen, roughly $250 US.

Someone overseas has been selling the 7500 on EBay. The price is just plain stupid. The same person has other brands and models at silly prices as well.

Yupi makes some good stuff. I love the 7100 and 9000 for specific tasks. As a general, every day carry, scanner they are not the ticket.

I would like to get my hands on the 7500.
