Short answer is no. You can only load & scan one location at a time.

Now if you are talking about setting up for two or more locations at a time, you can create favorites lists based on those, and have more than one favorite list in the scanner, then select and scan anything from only one to any combination of lists.

You can set a location (by zip code or actual latitude & longitude), and a range, then, either in Sentinel or on the scanner use the option to 'add channels in range' and create a Favorites list for that area.

Then change your location adjust range if so desired, and repeat the process.

Be sure that you have all of the service types you want enabled. When initially shipped (the scanner), or Sentinel is first installed, the only public safety service types that are "on" are the Dispatch types-Law Dispatch, Fire Dispatch, EMS Dispatch, and Multi-Dispatch. You should also enable the Tac and Talk types for those (Law Talk, Fire Tac, EMS Tac, etc.)

Zip code is just the easy way of setting your coordinates without using a gps.

Range has nothing to do with making the receiver stronger (gain) or weaker (attenuation). Its about drawing a circle around the zip code. Transmitters whose circle intersects with the range circle will be scanned, regardless the presence or absence of a signal. Too much range generally results in the scanner wasting time trying to hear signals that are too weak to pickup.

I run 0 miles range.

Entering a zip code tells the scanner your approximate location. There is an internal data table in the scanner that has the center lat/long for each zip code.

So just one zip code at a time.

Thank you guys. I’ll add a GPS to the SDS200 to scan other locations outside my zip code area.

Forget the zipcode function exist, you have already outgrown it's capability. It won't do what you want

Create a favorites list of what you wish to monitor. Use that instead of the full DB and zipcode function. It will enhance your experience.

You might need a better antenna, an external mast mounted discone is ideal for general scanning needs. If you have a specific interest you should post a link to the system from the RR DB.

If he's adding GPS, he's likely putting the unit in a vehicle. Where's the best place for the mast? :)

Ya'll should know better!!! Right there on the trailer hitch mount!! Or if it is a metal body and there is a welder involved, the possibilities are endless...
