FT-8800R Dual Head?

I have a Yaesu Ft-8800R and the separation kit... I was reading threads about people making their own separation kit, etc. I got to thinking, yes I know Ideas are very dangerous things...
Is it possible to turn this rig into a DUAL head set up? Has anyone played with this idea before?

If I had another FT8800 I'd try and let you all know.

Dunno about dual head operations, but it may not be worth the cost. A few years ago thieves stole the head from the car and mangled the end of the remote kit in doing so. At that time the parts cost was within $50 of buying a new 8800, plus a long wait for shipping. I bought a new radio; much easier and quicker.
