Harmonic from a Scada transmitter near by? My RTL-SDR gets bleed off from a UHF scada if I turn the gain up too much, plus an AM station thats 7 blocks away, that's my killer for ground noise at my location.

Maybe this is old news but I just saw it, the Kenwood NX-5600 covers low band. I guess Kenwood is the only manufacturer (with the exception of Alinco) making commercial low band radios these days.

That's the new "4 meter" band. We (US) don't have access to it yet except experimental stations (e.g. WQ2XDM). Fire up FT8 and monitor that freq and you see quite abit of activity from European amateur stations testing on that freq.
