Freescan: New HP Windows 10 Laptop Won't Acknowledge FREESCAN

Cable works perfectly on Windows 10 PC, but no joy w/laptop. Click on the icon "Download From Scanner" elicits a myriad of errors.

Click on Start Auto: FreeSCAN was unable to detect any available COM ports.

Click Queue System List" FreeSCAN is unable to access COM1.

All assistance will be most gratefully received!

I forgot to load the cable's drivers. Sorry for the false alarm. All is well!
