10078 and 10079 getting pretty heavy use earlier today before the Pocono race. I assume it’ll pick up again soon once the race ends. I don’t know if other parts of the state have been using those much but that was the first time I’ve noticed them in use in this part of the state.

I don’t get to the western part of the state as often as I used to but when I do my programming for the scanners will display the names as Channel 5 and Channel 6 until they’re depreciated. I’m a dinosaur like that.

That would make sense. And some days it actually follows a predictable pattern. Ops 1 then a second incident will go to Ops 2 then 3…. Other days? Seems random. All ops are open and you’ll get Ops 3 or Ops 4. Someone else asks for an Ops and gets 1 or 2.

For as critical as I am of Luzerne (I rrrreeeeaaalllllyyyy don’t like them, at all), I give them credit on the patches. They seem to do a very good job of getting those set up. Now of we can ever figure out the random ops channel assignments. Sometimes we get Ops 1. Sometimes Ops 3. Next time...
